The future is Social-ist

Is the social network making the world social-ist? Socialism is an economic system in which everyone has some share of ownership of the means of wealth generation. Social networks encourage their users/citizens to take responsibility for the social dynamic within their community. They in turn encourage the community to grow by creating bonds with a wider and wider group. This behaviour has been encouraged by the world's leading individualist, capitalist state, the USA.

Does it carry a risk of infection?
Millions of people across the globe communicate and cooperate within the social fabric of social networks. Ignoring state and national boundaries creating communities based around shared beliefs and interests. I wonder if this will encourage people and organisations to view the social within social networks as a force to alter the individual to see themselves as a member of a greater group. For the benefit of the social group and the economic improvement of all. In much the same way has been shown by the open and social inclusive free and open software movement.
